Load Break Switch

Product Profile

The Sulfur Hexafluoride (SF₆) gas-insulated Load Break Switch (LBS) is a protective device used for switching current in the event of overload fault.

During switching operation, whether opening (breaking) or closing (making) contacts, current is carried through an arc, and a transient recovery voltage (TRV) is formed across the contacts.

SF₆ gas, having excellent dielectric and arc-quenching properties, innovatively and efficiently extinguishes the arc from full load interruptions.
